Proprietor Vineyard owner, Sandy Lawrence, planted the estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996 on the north side of Mt. George. The vineyard is situated on a gentle slope overlooking the Napa Valley. The vineyard is a certified organic and biodynamically farmed enterprise adjacent to the gardens of Ubuntu Restaurant, a Michelin star restaurant in the historic Napa downtown, which was also founded by Sandy. The wines have been described as having a sense of place and this breathtaking mountain top is the place. The vineyard is situated on previously undeveloped private lands adjacent to the Napa Valley Land Trust, retaining this amazing sense of place in perpetuity. The name Lion’s Run defines the vineyard and property which allows for the safe transit of animals through vineyards, commercial gardens and the homestead. |

Winemaker Winemaker, Gary Galleron, has a multigenerational pedigree, and talent for nurturing grapes and mixing wine producing world-class, award-wining wines. Gary’s wines are the purest expression of his passion for creating spectacular wines, artistic vision and personal passion for winemaking. Gary is a hands-on artisan who is one of the Napa Valley’s most respected winemakers. |
